Works perfectly
I picked this up because I work on client sites quite often where I'm packed quite closely in with other colleagues.Quite often you might want to check a website, or write a private email, and it's quite difficult when you've got someone sitting right at your side!This filter works perfectly - more than about 20 degrees each side, and the screen looks completely black. Prying Eyes
Nice product easy to fit and very discreet. People can't see what your doing, unless at the correct viewing angle. This is excellent if you ever work on the train/plane or on a client site. The only niggle that I have with the product is the embossed lettering "3MPF15.4W" on the top right hand side, was this really required? It does spoil an otherwise excellent product for the sake of inappropriate branding.

Warning: not suitable for Apple MacBook laptops
The description fails to mention that the aspect ratio of the screen is 4:3, and so will not fit the screen of 16:9 laptopslike the Apple MacBook.

'ronseal' your laptop
does what it says on the tin, provides excellent privacy from the sides, doesn't dim too much when viewing., only problem is when using lowest LCD brightness settings with it

Expensive and disappointing.
I purchased this for use with my mid-2009 aluminium unibody MBP. The filter itself is exactly the same size as the viewable screen area and is stuck into place with sticky pads which are provided.The screen filter is pretty ineffective. Somebody sitting next you can still view half of the screen closest to them clearly enough to read 10pt text, and on the other half they can still discern shapes/colours and read larger text. Also the filter never becomes completely opaque whatever the view...

Don't expect too much
The screen may be fine for most 17" laptops but is not really suitable for the MacBook Pro Unibody. Pros: 1) The filter does prevent people seeing data on your screen2) the filter has a gloss and a matt side so you can use it to reduce the glare on your screen ( main reason I purchased it was to reduce the glare on my Macbook pro) 3) Is removable (the tabs do get a bit loose if you do this too often, and you will get finger prints all over it)4) the quality of the plastic seems...

Decent privacy protection, could improve details
Please be aware that this only protects you from eyeballs at a significant angle. At less than 20 degrees angle, even someone walking down the corridor across the room will be able to see what's going on on your screen.I find the filter's placement a bit awkward and even though I use 4 stabilizers to keep it in place (which don't really look nice on a laptop), it usually needs readjusting every time I open/close the lid of the laptop.The engraved filter type right on the top right co...

Does the job but....
The screen works well but the method of attachment - little sticky clips - is nothing short of awful. These clips didnt last a week on my screen so i had to improvise with black tape.

not wide enough for macbook pros
Stay away from this product if you own a MacBook Pro as the filter is just not wide enough to cover the entire screen. In case it helps, I purchased my MBP in May 2010, and is a 13.3 inches screens model.

Worth it
Quite pleased with this. Simple and effective and has made working on my laptop while travelling a fun !!I am now relaxed that no body can peep into my screen and the on the 'black' look of my screen.. I have sen some amazed faces :-)
