, the design is that liltte bit different from the boring norm and it's no more than i need from something this size. I surf, i email, i update my track/race bikes electronics via a laptop/usb connection and as a touring biker also i watch only the occasional film or listen to music via a laptop when away. I already have a small 500GB external hard drive. I also have a small external Samsung slimline DVD/CD writer. I already have an 8GB USB memory stick. Together they all come to the handy small size of a large hardback book. Collectively smaller than my 17inch laptop at home, far more portable and if i only need the installed 250GB and don't need a DVD/CD writer then this netbook fits neatly into my rucksack / tailpack / cabin luggage. It has enough RAM pre-installed but the upgrade to 2GB is very easy, if you're happy to void the warranty and fit it yourself. A credit card, two small screwdrivers and 20mins of your time is all you need. I'm inept with tools, but it took a couple of views of a youtube video guide and 20mins and i was done. It is that easy. There are other machines that will do all i want, but i like the look of this netbook, i like Acer products, i really like the price and for the quality and spec this has i'm really glad i bought it.
