Fortunately I checked the details on the pack before I tore off the shrink wrap in my excitement - I also had been sent the previous version. Is this just coincidence? I see another customer experienced similar and they can't return theirs.

I bought the ipod touch 2nd gen as a gift for my wife. Why only 2 stars, well to activate it you need itunes and the problem is it does NOT work properly in Vista. You can download and install itunes no problem but when you plug it in it says required software is missing, please reinstall intunes(Apple mobile device support that wont load). After many uninstalls and reinstalls later, I gave up. Went to a friend comp(xp) all intalled and worked first time. Unless Apple sort out the Vista thing th...

It has the most potential in a gadget ive seen in ages. Mine has become some kinda PDA with Instant messaging etc. facebook etc.. all within WIFI range of course....

Mac are great as I am a first class video editor who uses macs.I admit, iTunes may be a terrible bit of software. Although, just because iTunes is terrible dont take it out on the macs and the apple company itself untill you have actually tried them!
