I did a lot of research before buying this item, as I was debating between Macbook and Macbook Pro 15" or 17". I checked Apple's website and it said unequivocally that iLife 09 was included with all new Macbook Pros. It is supposed to be included pre-installed, or on separate disc, according to Apple.When I received the computer from Amazon, I discovered that it was missing iLife 09. I contacted the buyer about it, but they contradicted Apple and said only iLife 08 is included. I

Expensive, but worth the move from a PowerBook

I've recently acquired a new MacBook Pro 15" to replace my "old" PowerBook 17". I converted to the Mac some 4 years ago, and went straight for a 17" PowerBook. It served me well, but recently it started to cause me some problems, so what to do? Firstly, I am happy with OS X and the overall Mac package, so it was "just" a question of which Mac! Secondly, I still required a good portable, but perhaps one that was a little smaller and a little lighter. The 15" seemed a good compromise

Macbook Pro 15

Late 2008 MBP

Got this just after release. Updated to 4GB RAM, that caused a few issues but was eventually resolved.I have an issue currently with the DVD, I have had 3 replacements but the problem persists.This detracts from the enjoyment but fortunately I don't need to use the DVD that often but DL recording is really hit and miss.I am also now running on Mac OS X 10.6 and cannot recommend this enough provided you have compatible software.As for the Laptop - excellent machine even
