Better than I thought
Bought this gadget to share my two printers (lexmark all in one, HP Laser)and external hard drive (Buffalo). Set up and ready to go in no time at all.I did find that I had to install the original printer software onto all the machines on the network, which was a faff to find the disks. The belkin software prompts you for the drivers. Had a slight glitch with my HP Laser printer on my vista laptop, although it showed up as being connected it wouldnt print. Previously had no problems sharing it...

One of the most useful gadgets I have ever bought
I bought this gizmo to allow us to use the wireless laptop to print to our bog standard inkjet printer from anywhere in the house, without wires (magic!) This it has done faultlessly for many months and I am sure it will continue to do so.It also allows other usb 2.0 devices to be shared and used wirelessly e.g. scanner, external hard drive etc. It is connected to our router using one of the ethernet ports, so is also shared across the wired network (as well as wireless).Pros are1....

Great Little Tool
Bought this a while back, and as a computer novice plugged it into my Wireless router, followed setup, and hey presto....Whilst I have not used it for high speed applications it has proved invaluable for little items - eg printer, GPS reciever, ipod, photo printer, external hard drive.... etc The convience of not having to disconnect USB plugs each time I want to move the laptop.Brilliant for a duffer like me.

Very disappointed
Well I bought one of these after reading the reviews. Worthless
We bought one of these hubs for use on our home network. Whilst the hub works perfectly on two of our three computers we have experienced constant problems with one PC on the network. In particular, the hub does not recognise devices attached to it because of an unidentified software conflict which seems odd because all of our systems run the same software and the problem is emphatically not anything to do with our modem router. Compatibility
I bought this to replace a netgear print server that I had real problems with and so far it has worked perfectly with the two printers I have attached to it. Print speeds are much faster with the Belkin. The printers are HP DJ9800 and Samsung ML1210. I have had a few problems with a 500Gb WD Harddrive, although it works most of the time. All in all though I am happy with the ease of use and print speed and reliability. Far superior to the Netgear in my experience.

Great piece of hardware let down by poor support from Belkin
Firstly - Despite the specification listed by Amazon, this does work with Apple Macs, however, as at 17 March 2008 - This does not work with Mac OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard).When it was first announced it was stated that it would support Windows and OS X however when it was finally launched in the middle of 2007, it was Windows only. Good Idea, but missed a trick
Great to finally have a product that allows you to connect usb devices to network.Pro: Devices work as if connected to pc,etc.Con: USB speed is not usb2 (480mbps), but Ethernet 100 mbps therefore 1 fifth of speed. Should have used gigabit ethernet to have allowed USB for fully work.I agree with other reviewer. Belkin have made this usb compatible, but forgot about the loss of speed. When I first read about this device I thought what a great idea and bought one as soon as it was available and while still being pleased that that I did, it wasn't all plain sailing...If you want a clever print server with the ability to share 'slow' USB devices over a small network, then it's right on the money. A good value for money item.
I have long been a fan of Belkin products and this one is no exception. It is an attractive addition to any desk and seems to do exactly what is says on the box. It worked first time after a few minutes of installation and is one the easiest to set up I have encountered. I have found this to be usually the case on all my Belkin equipment.
