No problems, does the job
I bought one of these to use with the Belkin ADSL modem/router, and now it's up and running, it does the job well. It was easy to install, and immediately found not only my own wireless network but also those of my neighbours! The only problem I had with it was getting it to work with the security encryption with the router, but now that this problem is fixed, I'm well pleased. The card itself looks fine. It protrudes a fair way out of the PCMCIA slot which doesn't bother me, but it mi...

Wireless networking comes of age... finally
I finally snapped the end off my Netgear 802.11b card, and I've been meaning to install a hub at the office as well as at home. I wanted a faster 802.11g set-up, too, and this looked as if it would fit the bill. It's claimed to work with the slower 802.11b hubs. Even though it's one of the cheaper cards on the market, this is a well built piece of kit. The end protrudes rather more than other 802.11b cards but appears rather more solid. I hope so. Two LEDs, one for power, and unusually one...

Connection Problems
I have attempted to install this device on two notebooks using windows xp professional. In both cases it sees the router but will not communicate. Having belatedly looked for solutions on the web it appears to be a common problem.

works in the same room as the access point!
Having recently upgraded my internet access to Broadband (at last!!!) I was determined to set up a wireless home network to share the connection between the various PCs around the house ( a total of four at the moment). I purchased the Netgear DM602 ADSL Modem/Router and the Netgear WG614 Wireless Router. So far I have purchased a Belkin 54g Notebook and PCI card. The wireless connection between the router and laptop with the Belkin card installed was poor anywhere apart from direct line of ...

Belkin has no range!
Like Flopperpot's review, I had a real problem with the range of my Belkin F5D7010UK card. The only decent reception I could get to my Belkin F5D7630uk4A router (which is v. Good) was in the same room. As I left the room, I started to drop packets and in the end, the router was unreachable. Upstairs was a definite No, No...Rather than give up with wireless, I purchased a Netgear WG511. This card's range was fantastic - works in garden, upstairs...in fact all over the house!! Also, even thou...

Poor quality product with poor quality support
Bought this product last week and had nothing but problems. Signal strength poor and everytime I pick up the cordless phone my network goes off. The microwave oven doesn't help either. Never managed to get it to work at more than 15Mbps yet either.Technical support isn't up to much either. Netgear stuff far better quality.

very reliable, MacOS compatible
I edited this review after 2 months of using the card, I would give it 5 stars now (but can't edit that part)-I am using this card with an ageing Powerbook G3 (Lombard) that can't use Apple's airport card. I had to download drivers from Ralink for the v3000 of this card, but it works and the connection is stable. It even automatically connects on startup or after waking up from sleep. The range is very good, I can pick up my base station from any room in the house, and can even pick up wi...

Excellent
I recently purchased one of these cards to replace a Netgear WG511 card, which I was having no end of problems with. I am pleased to say that the Belkin card works flawlessly, connecting easily and providing a super-strong signal strength all over the house with no dropped packets whatsoever. I did need to download the latest driver from the Belkin site to get it to connect to my Netgear WG602 Access Point using the new 802.11g standard (it did connect using 802.11b with the old driver) but this...
