Poor corner sharpness on full frame

I've recently upgraded from a 40d to a 5d ii so needed something to replace the Sigma 10-20 WA I had. This seemed to fit the bill and although it's a nice lens in many ways, it suffers from poor corner sharpness on the 5dii when used at the wide end of its zoom range. It is particularly poor wide-open, not becoming acceptable until about f8 or f11. It's very sharp in the middle though and acceptable at the edges by about f5.6 - it's just the corners which suffer badly. Overall, it's no

Delayed Dispatch and poor customer service

It has never shipped although the status has been "Dispatch Soon" since 4 days ago, customer service has not been helpful to resolve the issue. I am going to cancel the order and get refunded.

Amazing all rounder lens

I currently use the Canon 17-40mm on a Canon 600D which is an entry level D-SLR and Crop sensor. I use it mostly for portrait and strobist photography. A really useful wide angle lens, which gives very crisp images across its focal length.It's fairly hefty, but then this is because of the superb build quality of Canon L Lenses.

At last....Got it

.At last saved money and bought this great lens and am very happy,Nothing to add to all these reviews except to agree with most.Like the weight and solidness of this lens,still debating about which filter to buy.This morning tried it with my old canon film slr and wow what a big difference in view.such a nice wide angle and as In no way I could afford to buy a full frame dslr decided to put the old machine back in to its use so orderd a film which is only £1.50 from amazon for those times
