I love this camera
I love this camera. I took it out to a bar with some friends, and although they started off making fun of me wanting to show off my new gadget, once they saw the picture quality they were blown away and all wanted to try shooting stuff with it. My main interest in buying it was for the video mode and it is great. Although there are some problems (compression, rolling shutter, moire are the biggest ones) I'd happily work around them to get the images this thing produces. Due to the full frame

Hard to get sharp pictures
I use my 5D II such a lot casually taking pictures of my kids without looking through the viewfinder. There are such a lot of outstanding features with this camera.
But the number of just out of focus images I get is a phenomenal pain even on the occasions where I do look through the viewfinder. I have these super expensive lenses as well: an older 17-35 f2.8 and a new 50mm f1.4. I deliberately choose short exposures like 1/500s and increase the ISO to suit. But the Autofocus just struggles.

You wont like it. You will love it.
After 3 months of use I love this camera! I upgraded and changed from Nikon D70 and kit. Mainly for the Full Frame sensor and Canon's build quality and L glass lenses. But there's so much more about the camera that I love. I have now settled in with the 5D MK II. The LCD display is so much better to check exposure and detail. The menu system is so easy to use and adjust. Awesome piece of kit. My only gripe is I am hooked on Canon and cant stop spending on new kit.

New toy
Bought as a replacement to an aging eos 1 Ds.
Great camera, night and day to the Ds speed wise (No suprise!! 9 years between them). I read a lot of reviews, and problem pages, prior to buying. The problems when the camera was launched seam to have been ironed out. It has up to date firmware, so shoots at 1080p 24fps, no black dot etc. Feels as though it needs the battery grip, but that could be because I've been using a Eos 1 for so long. Menu system is easy to use. Recommended.

Superb piece of kit.
I have owned this camera since Dec 2010.I took a long time deciding between this and the 7D and eventually went for the 60D(body) mainly for the price as the savings allowed me to get a 17-40 f4L on my budget.I certainly have no regrets in my choice.This camera takes great photographs depending on the lens in front of it and the person behind both.The technical side is well covered by other reviewers more qualified than myself so I will just comment on what I found usefull about this camera.I'm
