Canon Battery NB-6L for Ixus camer
Always carry a spare, that's my motto. And when I went on a writing trip to Greece for Easter, I knew I'd be out and about in Thessaloniki, Volos and Skiathos taking hundreds of shots. It was ideal to have a spare battery, charged and ready to roll, rather than seeing 'change the battery pack' on the screen of my brand new gorgeous turquoise Ixus 95 and having to pack up for the day.

Not genuine Canon stock...
Bought a Canon S95 at the same time as these so was able to compare an authentic Canon battery alongside these. It's pretty obvious that these are good copies not the real thing, the contact lugs are different as well as the script on the battery. One could ask whether Amazon should be allowing them to be advertised as the genuine article. That aside they do the job so a qualified recommendation is in order... just so long as you know what you're getting.

Avoid: Probably fake
The battery has nowhere near the capacity of the original supplied with the camera. I suspect this is probably a fake product - avoid

Genuine Battery
My battery was also supplied by a third part 'buyacamera' but 'fulfilled by amazon'. Turned up quickly direct form Amazon in a clear plastic bag. Being fulfilled by Amazon and having checked the Canon website I am satisfied it is an original battery. It also matches the one that came with my camera. Very very happy with it for more than half the price of getting it from Canon. Battery performs superbly as it should. Make sure when buying it is from a reputable trader or better yet fulfille...

An extra
i am not sure is this a genuine product but it seems functioning ok but not up to the standard of the origin one that came with my camera. (Last for shorter time)Anyway, it's just for emergency when i am traveling around so i'll never worried i will run out of battery to capture every precious moment.

Bought this as a spare for my 310 HS. Experience with previous third party batteries has convinced me that it is worth paying for the Canon name - I know there are a lot of counterfeits about, but buying from Amazon effectively guarantees that this is a genuine product.So far very pleased - managing to get 150+ shots before battery warning starts flashing.
