How to Get 300mbs ?

I was looking for a router which would be powerful and future proof. After much investigation, I decided on the D-Link Xtreme N(tm) Gigabit Router (DIR-655), which has both WAN and LAN gigabit ports. Great Product Poor Information
Great product works like a dream, but the Set Up Wizard using the CD gives no option to clone the computer MAC address and connection just to the internet fails, it was only when logging on to the router that the option to clone the MAC address was offered. I know the info is in the booklet but it should be an option in the Smart Set Up wizard.

Very fast, great wireless range, works with separate adsl broadband modem
OK, first thing to say is that I'm writing this review wirelessly several rooms away from the new Router and it knocks spots off anything I've had before and is very very fast. Nearly a Year now and so reliable (update)
I've never had a problem with this wireless router. Everything that I've needed to connect to this has connected seamlessly. Cheap laptops have been able to connect at full speed. Truly awful
Probably the worst router I've ever had. Wired connection is ok, buy the much hyped wireless capabilities are very poor. Connection drops every 10 minutes, even though the signal strength is supposedly ok. I've tried every tweak I can find, but still much more hassle than a cheaper router.

No problems so far. Easy to set up. Using with Vista and XP, all fine. Also handles streaming of video files with ease.I'm using it with a Linksys DMA 2100 to stream music, TV and photos to the living room TV from Vista Media Center. Works a charm. Easy to install, works excellently
I bought this so that we could connect wirelessly a laptop (XP) and desktop (Vista) to the internet at the same time. I was a bit apprehensive that it could turn into a slog to get this installed, but I didn't need to worry. I am really impressed with how easy this was to set up. I've had my dir-655 for a fair few months now, been very happy with it, no crashes, no reboots, no slowdowns, no problems - period. Not had an issue getting any laptops working on the wireless, used various machines including mac's on 802.11n and ibm, dell and sony laptops on 802.11g.
