Loses connectivity and no longer supported by D-Link
 
This router is old now and firmware updates are no longer available from the manufactures. It was easy to set up but I suffered continuous loss of internet connectivity - both via WiFi and the ethernet cable. It seems that the firmware (the "software" that is hard-wired into the chips) cannot fully function with modern PCs. A member of the support team at Virgin suggested using a channel that is not overcrowded by my neighbors and a free programme called inSIDDer to point me to one. This reduced

Dir 615 and 2740r works perfect together.
 
I have a BT connection in my house. I didn`t know before you can connect this router to other routers port for connection. However if you got 54 Mbps router if you connect this one your connection going up to 300Mbps. Love it. Never make any problems.

Great little unit
 
I purchased the D-Link DIR-615 a few months back and it was delivered in perfect condition on time and was well packaged.Setting up the unit was very easy and fast (used CD provided) we now have the wife's laptop connected wirelessly and we can still get a great signal in our loft bedroom and any where in the house.We also have a kindle (the new model) and it also connected wirelessly with no problems and can be used anywhere in the house with very little drop in signal.I would

Clean Setup and Solid Performance
 
This unit replaces an old wifi router from another company. The old one dropped connections frequently. This one was simple to set up, has not dropped a connection and gives us much faster throughput--all despite the thick old brick walls and old infrastructure in this place. We are very pleased.
