This router was purchased first as an alternative to putting up with a patchy Belkin N1 Vision's wireless, then secondly to compliment a DSL-320B modem to get a nice connection that didn't rely on a modem/router combo for the internet.Since having it, my wireless range has surpassed expectations, as well as looking nice in gleaming white, it performs well. Slow Wireless Speed
 
I have bought my DIR-655 B1 ~8 months ago. So far I have not experienced any major problems. Installation was very easy, as I am IT professional.Features of the router are enough for average home user.Major down side is wireless range, my old linksys WRK54G was performing much better. Now I struggle to get any signal in the back yard. Previously it was better, but may get increased when I switch to wireless N mode only.EDIT: I have enabled wireless N only and it performs better

4+ years and still going strong
 
I've had this router for over 4 years, it's been on continuously since the day of purchase, and I have had to restart it maybe once or twice at most. I keep wondering when it's going to pack up finally but so far (touch wood) has shown no signs of it. Has worked without problem with all the new technolgy that's arrived in the house after it (ipads, ipods, new laptops etc)
