Poor performance
The product is relatively easy to install and seems to run fine to begin with. I have found with both my D-link wireless adaptors (I had a DWL-120 previously)that they start to play up after a few weeks. I am finding with the one remaining G122 I am using that it takes several reboots every morning before it runs correctly. I have found this tendancy (and the habit of just dropping its connection through the day and requiring a reboot) has occured on all three of my networked computers. I n...

Good when it works BUT...
Bought this along with a D-Link DSL-G604T router. I've given DWL-G122 adaptor two stars as it is a really good product when it works but D-Links support is awful. I have had this product for just over a year and I do take care of my computer items. The positive: It worked well with my laptop for the first 4 months - easy to install, picked up a good connection in the house and had no clashes with XP. The negative: However, it just stopped working my computer and any other laptop refu...

An Adaptor That WORKS With VISTA!!
Had this product for a few days now, brilliant compared to the Belkin one I had before. Belkin did supply Vista drivers but the thing didn't work that's for sure, it gave about 2 bars signal. This D-Link is in a different league, Plug in, looks for drivers and installs automatically, then once your connected Windows update supplies the latest drivers which actually work! No worries at all for a change!Still working, full signal, couldn't ask for anything more! WELL DONE D-...

Do not buy it for gaming...
I've had this adpater for a long time now, lags out every 30 seconds or so for 2-5 seconds, when searching the Internet you don't notice, but when your playing a Online game its a killer, stresses you out, and even with updates and reboots and even moving around it still lags out.Poor show, this adapter is for workstations only.

Short-lived and unspectacular
At first glance this seems to be a pretty standard USB wireless network adapter. Sure, I found the signal strength and overall performance to be quite fickle, but I've always put that down to my computer being set-up quite a distance from the basestation, and the vagaries of wireless networking in general.Having a little cradle to allow you mount the adapter on any flat surface seems like a nice idea, but I've found it doesn't really offer any particular advantage over a regular USB ...

Worst Adaptor I've ever used
Poor signal, frequent disconnections. It even disables itself every 15 minutes. It's as if it was designed to be a poor product rather than it happening by chance.Avoid potential misery. Use something else, ANYTHING else.Shockingly bad product.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
This product is fundamentally floored and D-Link's India-based tech support has little to offer in the way of solutions. I spent two whole days trying to get this to connect to my home network via WPA to absolutely no avail. Like several other users who've posted comments I could only get a connection when using and Open network with a WEP password - D-link's tech support didn't even get that far - they were quick to suggest a problem with my router (the usual cop out for shoddy network products...

Problems with installation
I set this item up and it worked straight away. Next time I used it I put it in a different USB port and it did not work. Tried all options of USB port and removing and reloading drivers. Finally changed the wireless router settings to transmit SSID, restrict it to g standard only and use wpa-psk only instead of wpa-psk/wpa2-psk. This fixed the problems. This problem may be due to using devices by different manufacturers. The router is by Netgear.Martin

Inexpensive and works well
I used this to replace an old PCMCIA card using 802.11a.This runs 802.11g at 54 Mbps so is much faster and it seems to pick up the signal better. It supports WPA encryption, which is better than WEP on the old card.I bought this particular dongle because I knew it worked with Linux. It also works well with Puppy Linux, Windows XP and Windows 7.You can either plug the USB stick directly into your computer or use the supplied stand to position it more conveniently.
