Performs but tech know-how handy!

Once set up signal strength and performance is excellent, however the setup is not always straightforward due to the old ISP conflict or channel conflict issues, if you know what you are doing this will do exactly what you need and do it well

Fine at first - but poor performance after 4 months

It often seems a good idea letting something bed in before submitting a review. I would initially have given this 4 stars but after a couple of months of good performance we are now having problems - and I have just bought a replacement from Netgear. This has worked fine and therefore proved to me that there is nothing wrong with our cable modem or PC set-up.Problem (1): On PC start-up there is often a long delay (e.g. 1 or 2 minutes) after the network connection is made before the internet

11n?

Have spent a very frustrating day trying to set this up. It doesn't seem to play nicely with SqueezeServer (Logitech Media Server) and every time you change a setting it seems to allocate new IP addresses to everything. Also, having set it to 'B+G+N' it seems to be stuck at 11g. Even using an Edimax 11n dongle, still only getting 50Mbps. Setting it to 'N' only and other 11n devices can't connect. Seriously thinking about returning it.

EXCELLENT BUY!

At first i couldn't set it up but afterwards when I could do it, it was amazing! There is Wi-Fi everywhere in the house even the garden which is quite nice so i'm not penned up in the house all the time. The only downer was that for Apple Macs the information booklet is a bit unclear. Also the name of my network is 'default' which is a bit boring and I cannot lock it and put a password so all my neighbours are using it too. Even they are saying the speed is amazing!

What a difference with my old Netgear router! I bought it to have more reliable and powerful coverage in my flat and I am very happy I did. Easy set up and not a single problems since!
