FR60 versus forerunner 305
Hi folks!
I have bought both those products, the Forerunner 305 for myself, and the FR60 for my brother, as a gift. Our activities, I am currently doing between 25 and 30 km per week, and interested in triathlon, whereas I tried with this gift to awaken my brothers' long forgotten athletic skills and get him back in shape.

Love it!
I have a Garmin 305 already but wanted a HRM which would give me my calories burned in the gym etc. this came with the footpod and the hrm and worked right out of the box no problems. The footpod in my view is very accurate and its nice to track speed real time without the lag of GPS. The watch is very simple and nice not to have to charge it up constantly. The software for garmin is really good too and there is loads of information there. Would recommend!

A Great Entry Level Watch
Bitten by the running bug whilst in Afghanistan on Active Service, I purchased the Garmin FR60 complete with Footpod, HR Monitor and ANT+ Stick to try and track my running progress. I bought this model because it was the cheapest model on the Garmin Market which seemed to tick all of the boxes I was interested in.

Great piece of kit
After using this one for a while, I'd say this is definitely part of the minimal kit for someone running regularly. Footpod is surprisingly accurate, the heart rate monitor is flawless and the wrist unit has everything you need and is sufficiently customizable. If it's just for running, I'd still choose this one over gps based devices, even if they were the same price.

the garmin fr60 watch with foot plod, is more than ample for the every day exerciser. it is simple to use, but you are required to down load the full operating manual fron the garmin website, only the quick guide is supplied.
i have had the fr60 for over an month now and im not dissapointed, it was easy to set up and easy to personalise. i chose carefully when i bought this and would recomend it to all sports enthusiasts wishing to monitor and set training targets.
