Great watch, does everything on the box
Been using polar HR watches now for over 5 years and decided I wanted something to measure my distance. Looked at the Garmin GPS watches, but for my running the FR60 does everything I need. I just can't justify paying the extra £100 for the GPS version which looks ridiculously large (esp for a female), or the 405CX which looks like a watch but many ppl seemed to complain against poor water proofing or ulta sensitive screen. The virtual partner is great and really fun. Uploading data i...

A big improvement on the Forerunner 50 but software not as good as Nike+
When I run I like to keep a log of when i do and how far I've gone. Runners who run every day or who are pros probably don't need one of these - just a watch that does splits. However if you work and run irregularly having a device that tracks your distance is very useful especially for setting goals. This watch comes with a heart rate monitor but you'll need the extra foot pod to track distances. The HRM lets you know which "zone" you are in to let you target fitness or anaerobic speed, It send...

Brilliant!
I'm fairly new to running and wanted a simple device that would tell me the time and distances I'm running when I'm outdoors. This watch is brilliant! It's so easy to use, and does exactly what I wanted. The bundle I bought includes the watch itself, a footpod, a heart rate monitor and a USB thing to allow data to be transferred to a PC. I doubt that I will use the HR monitor or the USB thing in the near future. The 'Virtual Partner' is great fun, and allows you to set...

Original Device Faulty, Replacement Dreamy
UPDATE: Based on my original review, I gave this product 1 star. Since returning the device and doing more research, I decided the FR60 really was head and shoulders above the rest for what i need. The Amazon returns process was so fast and hassle free, I figured I could work under the assumption that the original problem I had was a one-off and order another FR60. If I had the same problem again, I could just return it.Happily, I did not get the same problem again. And I've explored...

Garmin FR60 with heart rate monitor & footpod
Good product, does exactly what I wanted it for, bit complicated at first but ok when you are used to it. Footpod is tiny and easy to put on your trainer. Havent used heart rate monitor as yet as that wasnt the reason for buying the watch. Good value with lots more features than I need for my running.

worst buy ever
I got a garmin because my running partner got a polar.I definatly got the short straw, I have had nothing but problems with it, it stops starts on its own, it freezes, the buttons dont work and I have even done some runs with it in my pocket because it would not start before the run. On my way home from my run tonite I dropped it in the post slot at oxfam. I should have got the Polar.

good product but technical difficulties and poor support
I bought the watch for jogging, and it works well in that sense - it records time and distance (I didn't fancy the chest band to measure heart rate). The main down side for me has been the technical side in connecting it to the computer. The instructions given for downloading the software are so vague and it took me ages to set it up correctly - you have to download 2 types of software before inserting the USB, but this isn't clear from the instructions. Before I worked it out, I emailed the ...

FR60- After three runs,,,,, how did I live without it???
I'm a sadly re-addicted returning runner. Used to do all sorts of sports and used numerous Polar, Cardiosport HRM's now I've got the training bug again and decided to splash out on a better quality HRM. I have not been disappointed. Easy to get operational from the box, great 3 screen that can be customised and simple download system that gives us sad techno Fit geeks hours of interesting info. Provided you are reasonably computer literate in the first place!Clear legible display in use an...

Brilliant
I searched extensively for a running watch having recently taken up running for the first time. This watch is perfect for what I need. It is easy to set up out of the box and usefully records its captured data onto the computer via the included USB dongle. The distance monitor appears to be very precise. I recently used in on an organised 6 mile run and it recorded the distance perfectly. The virtual training partner is also a helpful way to monitor your performance against target. I had conside...
