Great watch, does everything on the box
Been using polar HR watches now for over 5 years and decided I wanted something to measure my distance. Looked at the Garmin GPS watches, but for my running the FR60 does everything I need. I just can't justify paying the extra £100 for the GPS version which looks ridiculously large (esp for a female), or the 405CX which looks like a watch but many ppl seemed to complain against poor water proofing or ulta sensitive screen. The virtual partner is great and really fun. Uploading data is very...

Brilliant!
I'm fairly new to running and wanted a simple device that would tell me the time and distances I'm running when I'm outdoors. This watch is brilliant! It's so easy to use, and does exactly what I wanted. The bundle I bought includes the watch itself, a footpod, a heart rate monitor and a USB thing to allow data to be transferred to a PC. I doubt that I will use the HR monitor or the USB thing in the near future. The 'Virtual Partner' is great fun, and allows you to set a target ti...

A big improvement on the Forerunner 50 but software not as good as Nike+
This review is from: Garmin FR60 Forerunner Fitness Watch with Heart Rate Monitor – Red (Mens) (Electronics) When I run I like to keep a log of when i do and how far I've gone. Runners who run every day or who are pros probably don't need one of these - just a watch that does splits. However if you work and run irregularly having a device that tracks your distance is very useful especially for setting goals. This watch comes with a heart rate monitor but you'll need the...

Great for training indoors and out
I bought this gadget for my first marathon and have been training with it all the time. It's basically a sports watch with a heart rate monitor and a foot pod (a high tech pedometer). I have been very impressed with its accuracy over lots of different distances and terrain. Generally it's about 96% accurate out of the box without any calibration. When it comes to the long distances the 4% variance makes hardly any difference. I would highly recommend this watch if you don't want any GPS/mapp...

FR60- After three runs,,,,, how did I live without it???
I'm a sadly re-addicted returning runner. Used to do all sorts of sports and used numerous Polar, Cardiosport HRM's now I've got the training bug again and decided to splash out on a better quality HRM. I have not been disappointed. Easy to get operational from the box, great 3 screen that can be customised and simple download system that gives us sad techno Fit geeks hours of interesting info. Provided you are reasonably computer literate in the first place! Clear legible display in use a...

Value for money
Used the watch w/ footpod & monitor a few times now. The footpod once clicked onto a shoe appears to stay intact, and have experienced no problems, except once when trying to turn on the footpod, and it tooked numerous time before picking up an initiating signal. Other than that, it is value for money, not too expensive & does the job well.

FR60 versus forerunner 305
Hi folks!I have bought both those products, the Forerunner 305 for myself, and the FR60 for my brother, as a gift. Our activities, I am currently doing between 25 and 30 km per week, and interested in triathlon, whereas I tried with this gift to awaken my brothers' long forgotten athletic skills and get him back in shape. After having used the 305 for more than 2 months, I can only say that it just won't let you down. Size might be a matter, but it seats nicely on any manly wrist on any of...

Garmin FR60 reveiw
Great product. Bought this as an addition to my Garmin Edge 500 which I use on bike. This was purchased for use when running but I have it linked up to my cadence sensor on bike and my wife uses the Edge when we go out for a cycle together. This gives me the flexibility of using the watch to record all data and the luxury of my wife being able to see how she is going. I am now wearing the watch as it looks well unlike other HRM's. I won't go into detail about the various functions as other ...

good product but technical difficulties and poor support
I bought the watch for jogging, and it works well in that sense - it records time and distance (I didn't fancy the chest band to measure heart rate). The main down side for me has been the technical side in connecting it to the computer. The instructions given for downloading the software are so vague and it took me ages to set it up correctly - you have to download 2 types of software before inserting the USB, but this isn't clear from the instructions. Before I worked it out, I emailed the ...
