Garmin 205WT
I purchased this Sat Nav mainly to get me from A to B I didn't want anything more out of it. On this basis I am extremely pleased with the Garmin 205WT and have found it very helpful. The recalculating of my route is extremely quick and so far it has found accurately all my destinations. It was so easy to connect up - really just a case of charging the battery and away you go. Very Pleased
Bought this as a present for my husband for Christmas. He hasn't got lost or been caught for speeding since! I chose it after reading Which? recommendations, and it seemed to have all the facilities he needed for a very reasonable cost.It took a while to download all the updates, though.

Garmin Nuvi 205WT
A nice unit that is quite easy to use.The 'Wide' screen makes it easy to check for the next junction with a glance and it auto dims the display at night. The traffic function is reasonable easy to use, I've not yet hit bad traffic to test the avoidance.A 2009 map update was included with the unit, but I had problems downloading it using IE7. Contacted the helpfull support team who suggested using Netscape which solved the problem.Recommended

I purchased the 205 as I didn't need european mapping. When I logged onto the Garmin website to register I found that the european mapping was available to download free of charge. Glad I didn't pay for the 255. :-)

Garmin 205W Satellite Navigation system
Having used a TomTom previously I find the Garmin 205W to be in another class - it is simple, effective and easy to operate and, in addition extremely good value for money.The fixing methods are varied and useful allowing the unit to be positioned in different places, utilising the self-adhesive pads available and thus avoiding the windscreen!Thoroughly recommend this to anyone allowing good driving without the necessity for undue operation of the unit!

Garmin Nuvi 205WT ... Not bad
Brought this model after reveiwing Sat navs on Which website.Good Satnav, first one i've ever used; easy to use, good clear screen, only have one criticism; the "Traffic" updates are not that accurate, a couple of times i've turned off the road when it's stated bad traffic ahead only to find that the road was clear. overall it's been great to have.

The best device I have ever bought
We are new to UK and were with great fear to drive long distances. This is my first Sat nav and overall I am happy with it. Clear audio and visual directions, with occasional 'silly' moments telling you to take first left at roundabout when it should be second.
