Great camera at a great price
This is a great little camera. It's controls are very basic and easy to use and yes, it's actually waterproof for this price! I have just returned from a holiday and used it in the pool, in the sea and for general snaps - I was very impressed with the results. Back from my holiday and I can say this camera is brilliant ! Underwater pictures are clear, videos are clear and the sound is fantastic - you can hear all the underwater bubbly noises! Awesome Underwater Camera For The Money
I purchased two of these cameras to take on holiday purely for underwater use. Constantly turned on with freshly charged duracells the cameras still showed full battery power after after a 3 hour swim in the sea. Under normal use the batteries should last days. My wife and I used the cameras 2 hours everyday for two weeks. We have taken hundreds of photos and are really pleased with the results. This camera is cheap even for a 12mp but being waterproof means it is at least £60-£80 below it's rivals. Having tested this camera a few parties throughout the week, it doesn't seem to be able to keep up with simulary priced cameras. Absolutely gutted this Kodak camera leaked and failed the first time it entered the water. I bought this for my wifes birthday to use on our red sea holiday but when my wife and son did there first scuba dive with me snorkling above taking photos the camera instantly died. UK customers might want to check the significant number of negative reviews on amazon.com before purchasing this camera to take on holiday. I bought this to photograph whilst snorkeling and the camera failed after about 10 minutes. Turns out that this camera isn't at all waterproof when used underwater. Great camera and good value
Bought this camera as it was a cheap option for an underwater camera - was comparing this with the Fujifilm Finepix xp10 but chose the Kodak because a number of people seemed to have issues with the Fujifilm actually being waterproof. So far have only tested this at home but it does seem to be watertight, and its slightly "chunky" shape means it feels robust when using - I feel confident it would stand up to some wear and tear unlike many other digital cameras. I bought the Kodak Easyshare Sport C123 a couple of days before going to the Maldives for a week. I would describe myself as a a keen amateur photographer and usually use high-end Canon equipment.
