A good buy! This arrived promptly from Amazon a day earlier than expected. Its very simple to set up with a cd-rom which walks you throught the set up. I was all set up in about 15mins. I've been able to use PC, PSP, PS3 and iPod Touch through this. It has one of the highest security encryptions available which was a big part of the buy for me.The only reason that I did not give this 5/5 is that it occasionally times out, so you need to press a button on it and then the connection is rest...

Extremely disapointing
From the word go this has router has been nothing but hassle. Eventually after more than 3 hours I managed to get it connected only to end up with exactly the same connection speed as my old D-link Wireless G router I bought it to replace. I started by running the CD first as per the instructions but this failed at the first hurdle by telling me I did not have an ethernet port despite the fact that I do and was using it to connect to the internet quite happily at the time. great but not compatible with non virgin broadband (cable broadband only)
it doesnt have builtin dsl modem,therefore if have bt broadband it wont work,not clear in decription,but did return and get full refund.

Although highly commended by Which? this router needs a separate modem to drive it and it is not compatible with AOL. Although it is possible to configure the item to work, it required some two hours talking with Linksy help line in the Philippines where the clarity of link was not always satisfactory, in order to do so.

I agree with the other review.It has taken me 4 months of pain until Lynksys admitted that another modem is required.

this linksys router is so easy to install even i could do it ! and i,m new to this game. i simply inserted the supplied cd & followed the instructions then after 10 mins it,s up & running. cool looking too !

Works, but a nightmare to set up.
Replaced a BT Voyager220 hard-wired router that was a doddle to set up, and gave no problems. It served two x desktopsBought a laptop so wanted internet access on all three.I'm not a techie, but I'm not an idiot either. This product is truly amazing. Set-up was easy with the provided LELA software. (Make sure you restart your moderm once connecting the WRT160N). LELA does it all for you, security is tight and at the highest quality. The software maps out your network and is easy to keep track of everything. All things considered it's a decent bit of kit
Considering all the reviews and my own opinions of this excellent product:Positives- great range and strength of signal throughout my house. I have used other wireless access points before and there were tons of deadspots. With this the LOWEST I get is 75%!
