Cheap, cheerful and very, very good
I have used Linksys' larger WRT54GS Wireless Router very happily for years so when I found myself needing WiFi in an apartment during a work assignment this compact - and cheap - router was an obvious choice.And it worked a treat. Physically I connected the Linksys to the ADSL modem's Ethernet port using the supplied cable. NOTE: the router does not have an inbuilt ADSL port so it's no good if you are expecting to just plug it directly into the telephone line.

Excellent, small wireless router

effortless setup, much faster than the Belkin it replaced
Wow - I have had many linksys routers and I have never been disappointed, and this is no exception. I had a basic Belkin wireless G Router for the last 9 months, and it has been quite flakey ever since I plugged in a second hardwired device to it: it crashed every night, lights turned amber from green, power boot was required, etc. Belkin admits there are problems with this router and they may be sending me a new one. this is DSL
i'm sure the product is fine but this is a DSL router not a ADSL router. amazon don't tell you any where if it a ADSL or a DSL.

Very complicated
Took about 9 hours to get things going. From what i've seen this router would be excellent for a simple network. However I've wired a desktop and XBOX 360 into the router and connected a laptop through wireless 802.11g and it wasn't much fun.

Very good router
Very pleased with this Wireless-G router. Using it in a house with multiple clients running either b/g and it work really well. Easy to set up. Small size is a large bonus. Price is amazing. Highly recommended.

Good product but ignore the set up disk
I have a Virgin Media broadband connection and I had problems getting this router to work. The minimal documentation that comes with the router states that LinkSys "Highly recommend the use of the setup CD on an initial setup". Thinking this was going to get me up and running nice and easily I inserted the CD and eagerly worked my way through the setup wizard. An hour later I had pulled out the rest of my hair and all I could make it do was tell me I didn't have an internet connect...

Good product and great helpdesk
Installed this router by hardwiring to my desktop pc (will wirelessly connect to laptop when it arrives). I have broadband cable with Virgin Media (NTL). Installed from the CD wizard but the wizard could not find an internet connection when there was one there! I could connect. So I phoned the free helpdesk (not expecting any response) but lo and behold an off shore guy answered and helped with my queries (and this was 10.30 at night). First Wireless Setup with NTLWorld/Virgin Media Cable Modem
Awesome. This was the first time that I had set up a wireless connection. The router is very small and compact which is exactly what I wanted. It actually does come with an ariel on it. Geat product... shame about the resets
