Does not work with iPod Classic
I agonised for ages over buying this.Mainly, I was put off by reviews criticising the build quality. Compatible with 4th generation iPod nano
The Logitech speaker dock arrived partially charged and works perfectly with my 4th gen iPod nano - I used the adaptor which came with the nano as it fits the curved shape of the 4g nano better than the logitech adaptor. The integrated 10 hour battery is ideal where mains power is not available. I'm very happy with both the build and sound quality for a portable unit at this price.

Mine wouldn't charge at first, and some tracks are quiet but then I realised why
Great product. Sounds great. Works well. The main reason previous reviews have been negative is due to the charging problems and the quietness. With my dock, it wouldn't charge initially because the plug wasn't making contact with the adaptor (there are 3pin and 2 pin plugs included.) I stretched the two contacts out a bit and it works fine now. Sounds dodgy but perfectly safe! The quietness of the tracks was due to sound check being on and had more to do with my ripping of tracks than the dock....

Well, second time around, eventually got one that works, and I mean, works..... fabulous sound, excellent package with super remote and excellent power supply. Well made, lovely finish. My brother in law has the Bose and it is very very good, but...... BUT is it worth nearly £200 more??? Buy with confidence
I seemed to have spent an unhealthy amount of time trying to find a portable ipod dock and kept looking up reviews over and over again on the Pure-Fi Anywhere, Klipsch igroove and Bose Portable Soundock. Good sound, simple to use, but simply wouldn't charge up !
Product arrived as Amazon promised and the unit is compact and sleek and the case substantial. Thankfully it had been partly charged (1/3) by logitech so I could test the sound and it's particularly good for a portable and certainly sounds more-than-half-as-good as the more-than-twice-the-price Bose - which is also installed for home [permanent] use. Don't buy if you listen to classical music
These are undoubtedly the best sounding portable speakers available, which makes it even more annoying that they're no good for classical music. Logitech have built in a battery saving 'feature' which turns off the speakers when no music has played for about a minute. "Great" you might think - but not if this feature interprets quiet passages of music as no music and turns itself off, on mains power as well as on battery.
