Netgear Does what it says on the box and Seller was by far the bet price on the market.
I shopped alot for this product and contacted Netgear, their prices were well above that of Amazon, I went online, found the item, I chose this seller because they have very good ratings, made the purchase, the router arrived as promised, intact brand new in the box, sealed, I could not have asked for more, I will definitely buy from this seller again should I need to make additional or similar purchases.Thank you again.

Reliable, easy to set up, good with Linux
I bought this router in 2004 and it has performed almost faultlessly for nearly 7 years. Once or twice I have had to reset it because of a weak wireless signal but otherwise it has needed no attention. Setting up with an ethernet cable is a doddle, and quite easy using wireless. It handles a home network very well, and sometimes I have four devices connected, one wired and three wireless. There have never been any problems with downloads or bit-torrent or streaming. It works well with Linux

Poor performance
Bought this item with EW Link CO.UK via amazon. Could not get signal upstairs and very often have to switch the modem off and on again to get some signal even downstairs. Asked EW Link CO.UK for a refund or exchange but was told that they could not offer any refund or exchange if the manufacturer's seal is broken. This is quite unfair cause if we don't use it we can't know if it works or not. Would not recommend the Netgear DG834G and the seller either.

So long BT HomeHub 2
I moved house a couple of years ago and have been using BT HomeHubs for a while, they were constantly unreliable. After seeing the bad reviews for the latest version of this router, I decided to go back to this one. I wasn't disappointed. I can easily notice the difference, maintaining higher download rates, and its gone more than a day without the need for a power cycle.

Can not recommend
I Can not recommend this item for wireless as the wireless keeps droppong out and the only way to get it back is to do a reset while this is not a problem it dose get very Annoying.
