Terrible product - DO NOT BUY!!!
I have finally gotten rid of this rubbish piece of kit. I remember a friend of mine used to swear by using an ethernet cable rather than wireless, but actually looking back it's because he always had netgear products. This one, like others I've had in the past runs hot, drops internet and wireless connections and requires regular reboots. I have tried upgrading the firmware numerous times, but none have managed to fix the issue with this router. I have recently bought an Asus N56U and Draytek

Nice try Netgear, but disappointing.
I previously had a G type router, and while this N type router is a great improvement on that one, the DGN2000 is still lacking in areas where I thought I would no longer have a problem.I have marked my rating score as 3 stars for "It's OK" the good part of it is its good looks and smaller package. Good for a year
I've had two of these in just over two years. (Un)Fortunately, the warranty is two years. Netgear's turn around is fairly quick (less than two weeks) for replacement units. I doubt the replacement carries a warranty from the replacement date though!The router is very easy to configure through the web based interface and can be tailored to most requirements. I've had them running with a NAS attached, streaming films and music simultaneously via wifi to three rooms (TVs) whilst coping

The set up on this router is really easy bit the only problem is The router runs hot which I think has caused it to breakdown.Poor design i do not recommend this.

great router
This worked with very little config - just username, password provided by your ISP. Great wireless range and strength despite living in a basement flat with thick walls. Solid connection and only glitch was when ISP was having issues. TIP - Put the legs on and stand on its end, this prevents overheating which is a known issue when lying flat and causes disconnects. Port forwarding was doable but I am no expert and always find it challenging!
