Good Performance - Poor Reliability
The first Netgear DG834PN I ordered arrived and wouldn't even allow me to enter the setup. Amazon was excellent and immediately sent me a replacement.I had the replacement nearly 2 months and when it was working it was very good - unfortunately, it only worked intermittently. I plugged everything together, allowed the DG834PN to use the setup wizard, and I have been continuously connected at better than 8MHz/s for the past five days. Quick install, works well with great design
With the install wizard I had this up n running in no time and suprisingly it works properly out of the box without half a dozen update patches!I really like the "NO external Aerials" idea (Beamflex by Video54) as it meant I could place the router where I wanted rather than having to find a spot where I'd be able to twiddle the aerials around.I'm using a WG111 54Mbps USB adapter at the moment and so far I've found no deadspots indoors or the in the garden whatsoever. Great unit well recommended for almost any application
My old Netgear DG824M was starting to groan after nearly 4 years of constant 24x7 usage so I decided to by this as a replacement.... always recommended the DG834G to people and they have always been happy...minutes to install and everything works perfectly... coverage is better than the previous device but I am not sure about the claim of 400% or so??!?!.... the flashing lights are nice funky touch and the usual functionality is there for applications requiring special firewall rules and DMZ ...
