Very Good router especially for getting various devices working...
I have just bought one of these routers 3 days ago - so admittedly I cannot comment about their longevity.However I thought that I should write a review as at the time there were only 4 reviews on Amazon about this product - all not very happy with the router & this nearly put me off buying it. However I took a chance thinking that I could return it & I am glad I did! Hence I thought I should even the "review scales" a little...First off - obviously sorry to hear that it didn't work ...

Well chuffed
I bought this router having moved house in July 2009 and needed to switch from ADSL to cable. It's worked perfectly since installation. Terrible, terrible, terrible
I bought this router as I was told it was the easiest to use. Boy was I wrong. Ended up getting bogged down in complicated instructions each day from their "support" service. When I protested about it, they just passed me to another "engineer". After a week and endless hours trying to set it up, I gave up and bought Belkin instead.

looks good but poor range
I used to have the wgr614 before this router. My new router was supposed to have a much bigger range but i have trouble having a connection just 2 rooms away even when on the box it says it covers the whole house. To be honest i might even send it back because i'm not happy with it at all. choose something different

Not that bad....
Have had this router for a while with no issues, good range (good signal even in the garden)and no connection issues, apart from my phone which didn't like wpa2. Easy to fix though by dropping to WPA. No regrets buying this.

Unsupported, unreliable, terrible customer service
This router is very easy to setup, the Wi-Fi works fine, good web interface, but it just has one problem.It will not work with VOIP.I can connect my VOIP box to one of the 4 network ports, I can make phonecalls, but after 15 minutes, the calls are always cut off.Netgear has "censored" me from posting an article on their forum, complaining about this issue, but I have posted the full text of their email support here (on page 3):http://wnr2000.com/As you'll read, their Tech...

A good router that has serious reliability issues
This router worked very well for a period of 3 weeks. The wireless range was very good also. However, after 3 weeks, it started to suddenly stop working at least once a day - restarting it after being switched off for 10 minutes solved the problems but who wants to put up with that inconvenience?My old wireless G is much more reliable.

Disappointing
I got this router free with the Virgin Media 50mbit broadband and I hoped it would be an improvement over my old WRT54GL being a much newer router, but so far I've been disappointed.There's a lot of hype on the box about its wireless range, whereas it's in reality poor at best. I have to start by saying that the original attempt to install this router with the easy to use install disc was a disaster as it said I had a static IP and needed my IP address so I went in through the browser "[...]" and started the set up there where I selected dynamic IP address (basically the router finds the address every time for you).I then went back with the disc and this time it started and finished the set-up for me after I had given it a push as mentioned above.Now it works per...

Couldn't even reach my bedroom
I thought this would work wonders as it is pretty expensive for a non modem router, when I installed it I found my macbook pro struggled to load facebook and various other websites, and when I would sit on my bed the internet connection would be instantly lost, even though my room is the room above the router, so obviously the device is a rushed non-functional product, with no range. I returned it and exchange it for a Belkin N Router which works wonders and is £10 less! I am never buying a netg...
