Good software, but,,,
OK, first off I'd like to say I use this software, it works very well and I'd definitely recommend it. The reason for not being 5 star? Well, the supplied version (10.1.1) is about 2 years (and 6 versions) out of date, and the only way to obtain the new version was to contact net gear tech support. To their credit, they supplied an updated version within 30 minutes, but this was after several (very frustrating) hours of trying to configure the VPN with supposedly new software that wasn't the

Amazon are selling an old version (10.1)
Be prepared to spend a LOT of time on the phone to Netgear to get the latest version of the software. I found this version 10.1 supplied by Amazon did not work.

Do not buy unless an experienced network administrator
I am a web designer and so I am quite computer literate, but I am not a prorammer. The Netgear VPN client was beyond me. It assumes a high level of existing networking knowledge, more than you acquire just setting up a home or small office network. The software is not intuitive and there are no clear and easy to follow instructions along the lines of "Do A, then do B, you will find the IP address to enter by going to C" nothing like that at all. The whole thing drove me nuts. My advice is to

not fit for purpose
I purchased the Netgear VPN Client and FVS318 v3 to enable VPN access to our network. However, after a couple of weeks messing about and calls to technical support we STILL haven't been able to get the Netgear VPN Client to connect to the Netgear router. Netgear have even tested this in house and could not get it to work either. In addition, the version supplied (not amazon) was old (v10.1) and I had to get support to send me the latest version (10.8.3) because there is no way to
