Great fun
I use this camera / camcorder on my helmet when mountain biking. It gives a clear image and you can see what's going on even when it's being jiggled around. It really is fun when you get home and you can show people what you've done!You can use it as a normal camcorder as well thanks to the screen on the back of the unit. It is also made extremely well. Camera good, attachments poor
I have had this cam for about a week now, and have finally got operating properly on my bike. It's a fun piece of kit, but I think there are many shortcomings which the company should deal with:oThe items supplied for attaching the camera to handlebars, helmets etc are not enough on their own. Obviously handlebar diameters etc vary, but neither the bar mount or the helmet mount were ok straight out of the box. I had to add some rubber strips to my bars to get the mount to remain securel...

This is a great gadget!
Very impressed with build of the unit and quality of video even on my vibrating bike handlebars. The Gadget Show did say the menu's were fiddly and they are but you get used to them. There are only 3 buttons which I imagine is done to protect the waterproof integrity of the case. Not a major problem! Loads of mounting options so my daughter (who it is really for honest) should be able to put it on the front of her surf board!Only problem I did find was with the 'universal' plastic mount that ...

atc5k
easy to use with resonable quality playback but sound quality is very poor. 2gb memory card gives approx 45mins playback time on the highest resolution. use decent batteries lithium or rechargable because the atc5k eats cheap ones in no time. worth the money though.

Used and Abused
I bought the camera for wakeboarding, though haven't managed to use it for that yet just as the conditions have been rubbish since I purchased it.I have though used it sailing. I recently went away for fours days on a 40footer, and the camera was great for some shots close to the water (and in fact in the water), just to get the feeling of speed). I'm pretty pleased with it on the whole, and my fellow crew were certainly impressed with the footage.A couple of things to note though:

This is an OK type of camera although I would not term it as ACTION.For anything up to normal push bike speeds it is good but stick it on to a motorbike/car or where the action is rapid then the picture becomes very wavy as it struggles to keep up.Also not really that light if you want it as a head cam.The colour moniort is good, the buttons are fidly. very good
I have had one of these for about 2yrs now and it's a very strong bit of kit, with excellent quality pics. I use it mainly when I go skiing, I have had the occasional crash when trying to find my limit on some black runs, and the cam has survived with no damage at all. I have also used it on my motorcycle and again gives excellent quality pics, the only problem is the fixing clip is not secure enough so if you buy one and I would recommend so, make sure you use additional means of securing it.
