Useless
The first one of these I bought lasted almost three months. The second one didn't make it to two weeks. Both just stopped working, and afterwards failed to respond to anything. The Philips website was useless and provided no decent help or support - in fact, I found that many of their 'help' pages failed to load. I now wish I had read other Amazon reviews first, as I see I'm not the only one this has happened to!A poor product, with poor service.

Perfect
Bought it for my 8-year old and he loves it.It's so easy to use and the sound is pleasant and clear.Would recommend it as a perfect present for anyone who is not bothered with understanding tech.

No resume function
I replaced my old philips go gear that was light, easy to use and well priced. Unfortunately I've had this for a month and I hate it so much I'm getting a sansa sandisk instead. Yes, this was also well-priced, easy to use and light (hence the two stars), but for a number of very small reasons is still drives me crazy.Firstly, and most annoyingly, it will only allow you to resume if you're in listening to something in "music". Since I listen to a lot of podcasts, this is extremely annoying

loved it enough to buy two but...
the reason i bought the second one was that, after just over a year, my first one stopped working. the initial one was a 4gb model, however tonight i've plugged in my replacement 8gb player and have the same pixellated screen and no help from hitting the reset button...brilliant apart from that, but my boyfriend's much cheaper and older player still works, where these seem to have a 13- month suicide programme! very simple to use but worth paying for the extended warranty :(

THE player
This player is tough and wonderful.Good sound quality, more than 25 hours of battery life, easy handling - everything I have expected. Absolutely recommended.
