Samsung S1050 is value for money
The supplied batteries died within a couple of photos - and this immediately got me worried, so i hopped on the net and found a lot of others complaining of the same problem... on the advice, i went out and invested in some high energy LITHIUM batteries (i chose energizers) and the problem was resolved... so basically you just need to get the correct batteries.I now have some rechargeable 2500 NiMH energizers winging their way to me in the post and i have every confidence that these will

battery life rubbish!!!
The camera itself is ok. the pictures and film were excellent when we used in the first week. We soon realised that we ended up having to buy new batteries (as the re chargable ones that came with it were not good at all) almost every few days. Even with duracell batteries it only lasted about 10 minutes if that!! so don't waste your money, The battery life of this camera is almost non existent, it is now in the rubbish bin after only 3 months!

Has some down falls.
I've had this camera for nearly a week and I think it's fantastic. the picture quality is amazing and it's very easy to use. However, it must be said that the camera runs down the 2x AA batteries that it takes very quickly even with long life batteries. I can take only 4 pictures then the batteries run out. The camera can hold approx 12 pictures without a memory card. I have this camera in pink and bought it elsewhere for ?79.99. The screen is a excellent size and you can view pictures very

good but not amazing......
this camera is good and bad....GOOD POINTS.great close ups (up to 1cm).on manual mode you can realy get creative as you can change exposure,shutterspeeds,mpixels,iso & focus (although you cant change focus by twisting the lens).good flash.you can eddit photoes after picture has been taken on the 3inch screen which is great as you can trim photoes, red eye fix, and change colouressuchas negative!. face detection although unreliableBAD POINTS. quite good video quality

Great camera except for not recording sound whilst zooming in movie mode
I bought this camera in silver and it's very good value. I wanted it mainly to use at concerts, and have found the 'S' (Shutter Priority) setting works really well for this - I used it on the setting it comes at - 1/45, and got excellent pictures.The zoom and macro settings also work well and can give highly detailed and sharp photos.One quite bad point which I didn't realise until after using it is that although the camera will zoom whilst recording, it will not record sound whilst
