poor battery power
 
I have the D73 7.2m, it looks indentical to S700. By coincedence your picture is a D73. I read another S700 review saying that the batteries have very short life, possibly as low as 10 shots. My D73 has same problem and also suddenly ceases with lense open and extended. Looks to be hereditary.

Good Buy...
 
Just recieved this for xmas, seems perfectly good, although there is a slight delay when taking a photo before the flash. Small handy size with good magnetic camera case available seperately. Nice big screen on the back for checking your photos. Well worth considering...

Battery life is fine for me?
 
I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about, my battery life is fine!I use some rechargeable batteries I bought and I don't have to charge them back up too much at all.Had this camera a couple of years now, nice quality pics, smallish camera, good flash. Shame it didn't come with a cover.

Great photos but very very very poor battery life
 
Firstly, The battery life is very poor for taking flash photos. If you plan to take 5 in a row then the battery will die. I have tried rechargable batteries and the best Duracell batteries but it makes little difference. The only advice is to take 6 spare batteries with you on an evening out.Secondly, the photos themselves and usability including zoom are excellent and cannot be faulted.However, the poor battery life means that i will never buy another Samsung camera
