Cool but a little big in the pocket
I have a few pro DSLR cameras but bought this as a "work" cam. I like it the design its good and solid and the pics are fine. I have not had problems with noise some other reviewers mention however I work in Africa and there is usually (well in the daytime anyway) plenty of strong sunlight so low iso=low noise. If I'm honest I decided on this camera not only on its features but also on its design. It's a great looking camera and is extremely well built. I've just spent my first weekend with my new purchase and can't put it down. There's lots to find out and see how things work as I've been used to a standard automatic camera. Loving the NV7!
I borrowed my friend's NV7 when I went to New Zealand for my sister's wedding. I wanted something that took better pictures than my old basic Sony camera. I was very pleasantly surprised with the NV7 having not had any prior experience to Samsung cameras. I ordered this camera in a bit of a rush as I had a trip to iceland planned and my old camera was showing off. Not for your pocket
I just got bought this camera for a present and was taken aback at the size of the zoom lense sticking out the front. I suppose I should have realised given that it was a 7x zoom, but the pictures on Amazon are cleverly taken directly from the front and back so there is no depth perception.I can't comment on the picture quality or noise as I'm intending to send it back and go for something a little more streamline.

An excellant camera. A beautiful Design.
I really like the new range of Samsung NV cameras having both a NV7 and NV11. The thing I like about the NV7 is the threaded lens which means you can add filters for artistic photography or a wide angle/telephoto converter (filters are now very cheap on ebay!!) to expand the cameras capabilities.The special Samsung NV7 case is also lovely and worth investing in.With regards to picture quality I have had no problems.
