Everything you need in a tiny package
While on the hunt for a new digital camera I narrowed it down to the Canon Ixus 100 IS or this, the Samsung PL60. After much analysing of all the stats and having a fiddle with both I opted for the Samsung. Here's why:- Resolution: Although the Ixus pumps out 12mp compared to 10.2 on the PL60 there is no way i'm going to need that extra bit. Cute little camera
I have used it for a week in Rome, taking pictures of my family, buidings and museum artefacts, sometimes with a flash. You can take about 400 shots with one battery charge.I was taking over 200 shots a day. It is easy to to use. There is a double stabilisation mode, which is good for taking pictures outside (of people, buildings and landscapes) and inside if you do not want to use the flash. happy with purchase
Its easy to use after a brief look through the instruction manual. The programe setter dial to enable different types of photo's is very simple to use and after learning the basics it is easy to progress to more complicated photo's. I have been pleased with the results of the camera the only draw back was the very short lead which connects to the pc and to recharge the camera. I thought that this could have been a little longer. Generally I would recomend this camera as good value all round.

Good little camera
As a recreational snapper I find this an excellent camera and the easily chosen options suit me fine. The lack of a view finder means one has to rely on the visual image on screen which can be difficult in bright light. The re-chargeable battery lasts for ever compared to my previous cameras and charges quickly. Having to view the manual via computer meant I used the camera before reading the instructions... but no harm done except the battery comes only partially charged and really needed to be...

Wonderful little camera!
I've just bought one of these (from Boots - quite a bit cheaper than the price listed here)I've only had a bit of a play, but from what I can see of it, I'm in agreement with the others here. Seems to have good features - excellent zoom - was good at focussing, even on random things (e.g. the keyboard when aiming it across the office)

Value for Money
Bought as a christmas Present for my non technical 20's daughter. She found it easy to use although some of the effect uses took a while to grasp. Picture quality is good. Overall good buy in its class.
