Lasted 2 years before the shutter seized!
I purchased this item at the end of 2009 and was massively impressed with it for the 2 x years that I used it (regularly). I also purchased a number of periphery items. Then, a couple of months ago, the shutter seized open. Repair shops stated that it would be cheaper to buy a new camera than try and repair this one. I was extremely disappointed, but purchased a new and different camera, with which I am very happy. But I shouldn't have had to do it! This camera should have lasted longer,

Well pleased.
This is a really nice camera, there is so much to do with it, picture quality is very clear and colourfull, I like the idea of the anti shake function so you do not get fuzzy pictures, was able to take moving objects as well, have not done any video sessions yet but its all in HD, its not buky or heavy to carry around, there is good battery use after a full charge, it makes my other camera very basic, I still have lots more to do with this,even though they have brought out the WB700 next one up,

Excellent!
This camera is perfect for the casual camera users as its got all main functions such as Image Stablisation, face detection, scene modes, wide camera lens and good quality video recording. I used this camera for my trips abroad to Ireland, India and Dubai and each time I have managed to take quality pictures with ease. Simple to use and great value for money!P.s Battery life is also very good.

highly recommendable for ladies
I have been using this camera for over two years now and I just cannot seem to stop loving this camera.It is a little bit chunky in size compared to canon ixus or other slim ones,however, I think its built-in optical zoom works brilliantly compared to other small ones.I love to use all the different colour modes when I go out and the best one I love is vivid and forest mode.It makes a big difference in result when I used the forest mode when shooting landscapes.Video pictures are

Samsung WB500
A chunky, well built if not overly stylish camera which feels comfortable to use. Not a slimline item for tight pockets but not as obvious in use as a SLR. Plus features; easy to use in auto mode and not hard to work around the other mode options. Excellent optical zoom to x10. Good clear viewfinder with adequate menu. Doubles as a video cam with plenty of memory if using a memory card. Minus points? Poor images using digital zoom. Cover for charge/download connector rather flimsy.
