DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A MAC 10.4.11

I have had two of the Goflex FreeAgent 500gb and both have utterly failed to load. The Macinstaller icon just does not register the device. This is within the alleged system requirements so there is no reason why it should fail. Do not bother with this manufacturer if you have a Mac - there are a myriad of reported problems. Buy another product instead....

Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 500 GB USB 2.0 Ultra-portable External Hard Drive - Black

This is my third Seagate external hard drive so you can guess that I think they are the bees knees. Two of them were to replace Western Digital which failed. One died totally unexpectantly and the other began making grinding sounds so I saved the material on the second drive. No problems with the Seagates and they are so much smaller into the bargain.

Seagate Well Done

Bought this to back up my 2 year old HP Lap Top which kept telling me to insert a back up. Had not done this before but after being lucky in having a virus and getting all my information back thought I had better do it properly. Plugged it into Lap Top and it did the rest EASY thank goodness. It did take some time the first time but now it updates in seconds.
