This is a complaint about the delivery not the product.
I cannot review the product as I have not received it yet even though I ordered it over 10 days ago. I pay for Amazon Prime which is a ridiculous joke as everything I have ordered on Amazon recently has been late. I am complaining about this here as the customer services is terrible and I just get a stock answer from them about having to wait. I'm very very very angry at the moment.

small, compact, it's like holding a card
broght this for portable use and a 2tb one for the home for everyday use. Best hard drives in the market after intense research. BUY IT!!!

Worth Buying
This is an improved version of any External Hard Drive you can get. The supporting software "Seagate Dashboard" helps you to take instant back up, send high memory files to others by mail, etc. Also the feature I liked is the USB 2.0 cable can be replaced by USB 3.0 cable at a nominal cost.This product is worth buying.

Not worth bothering about
I purchased the eSATA "upgrade" cable with this and it hardly makes any difference. The Seagtae Manager software doesn't recognise the drive when connected with the eSATA cable.I contacted Seagate support who sent me several procedures to follow to try and fix it - nothing worked. Then, a support engineer said the software isn't compatable with the eSATA cable. Why didn;t trhey tell me this in the first place?? And why wasn't this stated anywhere on the web site?Poor product from Seagat...

great drive but slower than expected
I bought this drive so I could back up my entire PC hard drive.I also purchased the goflex eSata connector so the drive would be far faster for read / write (given that I was going to be backing up hours of videos, some DVD's my music collection, 20000 photos etc).But the drive would not stay powered up when writing to it using the eSata goflex interface so I had to go back to standard USB cable which comes with the drive.The eSata goflex interface works fine with a 500Gbyte seagate dri...

Nice product, but heats up under pressure
I bought this with the eSATA upgrade and it works quite well (make sure your computer has a USB/eSATA port before you purchase this upgrade, though. The port should be clearly marked as USB/eSATA). The drive tends to heat up quite a lot, especially around the connection area, when you transfer a lot of files at once. But apart from that it works great.

Great HDD, just a little bit of a shame it does not fit in the GoFlex TV HD Media Player's slot for a HDD
After several months of use, I am very, very satisfied indeed with my purchase and therefore upped my rating by a notch. Compact and reliable. Segate 1TB USB portable drive 5*
I have always had the best luck with Segate portable drives and the 1TB is an excellent product, easy installation of the software, and no hassles moving the drive from laptop to desktop and back again. The Memeo software is easy to setup and use.
