Superb External Drive
I have several external drives as I work in video media so I quickly fill drives.This little drive is superb, it is:-Silent-Nice Sleek Design-Does Not Run Hot-Future Proof to USB 3.0 coming soon.A really excellent drive for the price, I cant really say a lot more.The USB 3 interface is the big selling point here, ensuring this drive will stand the test of time.

An OK drive
This drive is neat,quiet and is easy to setup and operate. The only problem that I have found is that it is a little slow in data transfer.There will be drives out there that are a lot quicker at data transfer but if time is not particularly important to you then this drive is fine.

Good product - Software issue
All I wanted was some storage, not auto backup etc, the drive is a good drive but the software was geared towards backup etc, if you chose not to do this, you were much on your own.

Nice harddisk for money
It is a nice hard disk, very flexible connections, because you can buy another connectors such as SATA3 or eSata. Only it is a bit expensive that complements. Indeed, I use the USB 2.0 that comes with the HD, and it works fine. Nice value.

Very fast and small
Great external hard drive.If you upgrade to the Seagate goflex eSata connector then its much faster than USB.Very small form factor too.Makes it easy to transport around with your laptop, and it has enough capacity to back up most hard drives in one go.Compared to other drives, it seems to provide great value for money.Worth getting a cover for it to protect it when travelling (the case is plastic so could get scratched).

Seagate HDD
This is an ideal HDD for backing up etc, however to use with a Macbook is a bit problematical as you need to go to Seagates website to get the instructions for setting up this drive. It took ages plus my son's expertise to find the correct page on seagate, once we did find it, it was easy to get the drive installed onto our macbook. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Excellent Size and Very Easy to Use.
This is an excellent piece of kit. It has a massive 500gb of storage available and is small enough to carry around with you i have seen larger and heavier smartphones. It works straight out of the box with virtually no setup if you just want to use it as a removeable drive but it does come with some seagate software which alows you to backup data from your desktop with a simple easy to use interface. Reviewed the various makes on the market and chose Seagate for it's advanced features and different models. Also, as someone who had a job procuring computers and accessories, I knew Seagate to be reputable.As long as you ensure the model is compatible with your computer system, an Apple Mac in my case, you can't go wrong; just read and follow the instructions supplied. Great little product for storing data.
Just taken delivery of this data storage product form Seagate, and i am very impressed with it so far. No problems with start up and it is ready to use virtually straight away, once you have followed the quick set up proceedure. You simply click on the set-up icon and your ready to go in minutes.
