After looking at other media players, this one fitted all the criteria i needed.It especially is very good because when you copy your DVDs onto hatd drive, sometimes you are unable to access the menu where you can select scenes etc. BUT with this media player you can access the menu through the players menu.Fantastsic, i have all my DVDs on one small drive now inserted inside the media player, PLUS a 1TB usb drive which is holdong over 120 dvds. now my DVDs are stored out of sight in

Great Little Box

Seagate GoFlex TV 1080P Media Player

I made the mistake of ordering the larger GoFlex 1TB drive that doesn't fit the player, smaller size drives only I'm afraid (you need to hunt through reviews to find that one!). I can cope with that issue as it runs through the USB2.0 cable and I'm going to get a 500GB one to sit inside it. The main bugbear is the quality of the box itself and the software. The video jack plug at the back started playing up virtually straight away but I'm waiting on a HDMI lead, so again I can ignore that

Not the right solution for me

I wanted a fast way of watching video files on my TV without having to encode, burn, transfer onto various devices etc. This GoFlex TV can do this, not very well though, it seems to have difficulty processing certain codecs and is very prone to pixelation and audio sync problems, even when connected by Cat 6 wires a very short distance via a decent ethernet switch.A firmware update does not improve its performance, so it would be better to use a goflex portable HDD in the slot. I suppose
