Official Fix for KDL26S5500
Hi I have recently purchased 2 KDL26S5500 and both TVs suffer with the set freezing in standby mode if left over night. I contacted Sony Technical and I was lucky a concientious guy answered and gave me the official fix. MENU---> SETTINGS----> SETUP SELECT "DIGITAL SETUP"----> TECHNICAL SETUP TURN OFF SYSTEM UPDATE. I HAVE DONE THIS SO I WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW??

Great TV for the money!
A Sony Bravia TV for £250? Bargain. You know that on the whole you can rely on Sony to deliver a quality product. Aesthetically a great TV too - the matt black frame should be a prerequisite in all TV's as it doesn't attract any attention or glare. This TV upscales good quality cable channels well - obviously there are limitations with upscaling though. If the channel compress their programmes heavily, it will be more apparent on a HD set than anywhere. But progress is progress - soon

Fantastic Tv.... If just buying it to use as a tv, a brilliant tv for anywhere in the home, quality of the picture is out of this world, a sleek design which looks great on the eye.. Good LCD TV
Good TV, the feeview makes it a bargain, shame it does not have iplayer built into it, at least I could not find it. Apparently the samsung includes iplayer so may be wil upgrade to the samsung 3D tv !
