Great TV!- Read on- encountered problems
I bought this TV just over a month ago and I am still very happy with it! One of the main things I was looking for was a TV that had a black surround that wasn't like all the others that are around at the moment. All the others I saw had a shiny plastic surround so when watching, light reflects off of it and you can even see your reflection, which really distracts from the film!!! Great TV, but the EPG is a bit Naff
Had this TV a couple of weeks now. Had Bravia's before and this one is also good picture and sound wise. Only negative is the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). If you want to look at the info of a programme on another channel the TV changes to that channel if you press the 'i' button - which is very irritating. Have an older 22" Bravia in the bedroom which doesn't do this so why change it and make it worse! Overall, happy with the TV, but loses 1 star owing to the rubbish EPG.

Firstly, I have noticed that prices of TVs recently have fallen considerably. In particular, the big makes such as LG, Samsung, and of course Sony. Perfect now - thanks to amazon
Very nice looking TV and nice friendly size for the room. Had teething troubles but thanks to Amazon it was soon sorted and replaced. Exceptionally easy to set up, just plug in and follow screen instructions. EPG seemed strange to start with but a week down the line - no problem.

Simple even for me !
This TV was a delight to install.It took me about 25 minutes to remove from the box and place on its plinth. I thought it would be heavier to move about but it was easily handled by me and placing in position was an easy exercise. I had actually worried about this maneouvre but my worries ceased when it clcked into position.The picture is excellent--- cystal clear and I have no problems with the sound even with my 78 years old ears.

Terrific product
Terrific product at an excellent price. Auto setup worked exactly as promised with no glitches. We had already purchased the 28" version of this product a couple of years ago for another room and were so pleased with it we decided to stay with same make/model this time around. Well done Sony!

this is a beautiful elegant tv with great picture i know this wont be a very helpful review but i gotta giv sony credit this is a great product and you'll do well to find it new and cheaper anywhere else

Picture OK but no more - but set is at bottom end of Sony range so this was expected (Is in a letting room so not going to be watched 24/7 by one person). Also needs firmware upgrade to stop it locking up when on standy. Sony come and do this FOC but why not ship them right in the 1st place?

Excellent product!!
I brought this sony lcd tv a couple of mouths ago now and im still over the moon with it! It produces an excellent picture and looks the buisness! I would deffenatly recomend this product!

EPG does not allow pre-set on/off timing (no event timer)
Very surprised that this TV does not appear to allow event timing so it is not possible to set an on/off time to work with your recorder for a future programme. Even a modest digibox usually has an event timer.Sony consumer help appears to think that programmes can be set on a timer and referred me to page 16 of the manual for instructions but there are none for event timing! If anyone has found differently please let me know in a further review.
