Terrific TV, just dont use the full power off button
Bought this around 18 months ago. Awesome picture. Great value. Its a bit slow switching between channels but I can live with that. One major flaw though is the power saving 'full power' off button on the side of the TV. Its flimsy and seems to have been an after thought, as I'd feared the button broke after a few weeks and Amazon (who were brilliant) sent me a replacement immediately.
My tip - buy this TV but dont use that power button.

Great TV
Had this television over a year without any major problems. Very rarely it will turn itself off when you are watching it!
I still rate it 5 stars though because this has happened only around 3 times since purchase.
Excellent picture quality when watching Blu Ray's.

Piece of Junk - now
With no manual 'switch on' button and the remote not being able to switch it on I have to pull out the plug and replace it everytime I want to switch it on.

Toshiba and Amazon what a load of...........
I've had this TV since Jan 2010 and it was a great TV until a few days ago....
Then it stopped switching on using the remote.
I had to power the TV off using the mains switch, then it would work a few times then stop again.
A look on the Toshiba web site showed a firmware upgrade for exactly this issue, so I downloaded it, installed it and it didn't fix the problem.
Be warned this an INHERENT FAULT with Toshiba TV's - most models were covered by this firmware (supposed)

Great TV set
I bought this TV for my Aunt in 2009 and this has been a great product, the picture quality is fantastic and the set has been totally reliable. I would definitely consider getting a Toshiba TV next time I buy one myself. It also looks very attractive in the room and was very easy to set up.
