My Passport Essential 500GB hard drive,
How easy can an electronic item be to use, I had looked at a lot of reviews and decided that this would be ideal for my (very limited) skills.
A quick read of the manual (yes some men do read them) and it really is as easy as easy can be, some of the features can be a little more complicated(if you want to use them), but as long as you follow the instructions nothing is difficult and it is very easy to use.

Pocket sized
Firstly i'm only using this as a drag and drop storage backup for my photos and FLAC files.
Portable is understatement this little drive is only 8cm by 11cm, give or take a couple of mm, so it would fit in any pocket with no discomfort. To look at and to hold its just lovely and oozes build quality. You can use it without the drivers but i found it unstable on a large transfer so i performed a drivers only install.
I only have lowly USB 2 so i can't review the USB 3 speed at all. I

This is my second WD Passport used for backups on my Mac and I cannot fault either of them. Nice and small if you need them to be portable.

waste of money
I bought this product, thinking I would be a good idea to back up my laptop and save everything I treasure.
Connected it up and it worked like a dream. Everything was saved.
THEN one day my laptop developed a major fault and the hardrive had to be re-formatted. This entails wiping everything off the laptop and setting it back to the factory defaults.
Hey! I have everything saved on my passport I will just connect it up and reinstall all my files and photos.
