Great ... as long as you don't want to play music!
I was very pleased with this device when I fired it up today until I tried to use it for the one purpose that I bought it for, playing FLAC encoded audio files.On the latest (automatically updated) firmware my albums were shown with all the tracks in reverse order. Good functionality, poor quality
I bought one of these and the first one last 3 weeks before the hard drive failed. The replacement has now been going for a month without issue.Fingers crossed. A disappointing experience.That said, functionality of the device is good, lots of support for different file formats.I would like to see a built in bittorrent or NNTP client so it can download directly rather than having to transfer from my PC.

It has it's faults
The first one I bought stopped working after 4 weeks. On checking the WD forums, I find there is a known common fault with the on/off switch. WD agree to RMA the units but if you want to extract the data you have placed on the disk, you need to get special permission from them to open the case as there is no means of exporting the data if it is dead. My first media centre & I love it. Downdloading stuff onto it can take quite a while but you go make a cuppa or something. Picture, sound brilliant. Only gave it 4 stars as you can't rename things on it you have to do that on pc before transfering. Also you can fastforward but can't press 1 button to jump to another chapter, you can jump to a different time on the movie but it's faffing about a bit. Does what it's say's on the tin.
Bought as i wanted to free up some space on my laptop's hard drive. After reading lots of reviews of many Media Center's I purchased this one, mainly because of it's 1TB hard drive and because of all the video formats it plays. Great gadget
I brought this so I could watch my downloaded movies on the big screen and it is fantastic the only down side is the menu is a bit boring and you can only set the time to us timezones but its a great product . Well worth the price

One of the best product I have seen so far.
WD TV Live hub is one of the best product I have seen so far. I got Sony Bluray player BDP-S570 and picture quality is almost similar. WD TV LIVE HUB supports 3D movies ( You may need to set your 3D TV settings to Side-by-side or over-and-under) and most of the movie format, I can say almost all the movie formats. Just recently received this little "gem"After such good reviews I thought I would buy one. I got it out of the box and updated the firmware which took about 20 minutes. I connected a USB 250Gb drive which was about half full and it took about 9 hours to acquire and download all the data from it.
